We Want Miles to kolekcja nagrań live z Bostonu, Nowego Jorku (gdzie grał swój ostatni koncert w 1975 roku) i Tokio z 1981 roku. Są to jedne z pierwszych nagrań na żywo dokonanych po dłuższej przerwie. Album zyskał uznanie krytyków zdobywając po drodze nagrodę Grammy w kategorii Best Jazz Instrumental Performance.
Grają z nim Marcus Miller na basie, Al Foster na perkusji, Mike Stern na gitarze, Mino Cinelu na perkusji i Bill Evans na saksofonie.
Jest to pierwsza odsłona tego albumu na winylu od czasu jej pierwszego wydania w 1982 r.
